Sue has taught musical theatre, along with ballet, jazz and tap, for over 50 years and takes delight in singing, dancing and acting with anyone who wants to join in!

Early in her childhood, Sue was singing and dancing with her siblings in abbreviated Broadway shows on small stages, accompanied by her mother at the piano! And so, she was “hooked”as they say! Sue has worked in productions with Theatre Under the Stars, Gateway Theatre, Western Canada Theatre Company, the Firehall Theatre, Vancouver Opera among others.

On Island, she produces a semi-annual original musical, Christmas with Scrooge, that her parents wrote when the family first moved to Salt Spring, in 1970. She’s performed with Exit Stage Left Productions, Active P.A.S.S., Tickle Trunk Productions and the defunct but prolific Off Centre Stage and Turnagain Dance Collective. Favourite roles include The Witch in Into the Woods, The Diva in Spamalot, The Gypsy Queen in The Who’s Tommy, Venus in Love Scallop and Marilyn Monroe in The Wonderful Naked Man. She has sung in cabarets, concerts, in rock and blues bands as well as with her jazz group. She also choreographs and directs.

Her favourite motto is: “Let’s put on a show!”
