Description: 10 week session starting October 13 + Fun Performance day Dec. 22nd

A fun exploration of the myriad ways to move, play with creative expression, and share movement in a safe and supportive environment. With steady instruction from Amy Haysom, children will also enjoy and experience guest instruction from Naomi Jason (contemporary dance), Anna Kraulis (ballet and modern), and Sue Newman (ballet and musical theatre). Children will also enjoy weaving music and play into their journey of dance and creative movement exploration!

Amy Haysom has been teaching and facilitating movement and dance for children and youth on Saltspring Island for many years. She taught Acro Dance at Rainwood Dance, facilitated the Elysian Dance Club at GISS, and choreographed a multi-age dance piece, performed at ArtSpring 2020. She has been a coach with Saltspring gymnastics, and offers Yoga in the Classroom within the school district at most schools on the island! Amy believes movement and dance is a way for every child to meet and move with their creative spirit within.
